I had an opportunity to show one of my works as a digital installation on a website and social media, Instagram. Below are some previews of how the website and Instagram.

In “Re-Learning” Workshop Project, I started on a new work of ink drawing on tiles. The shapes formed from my visualisation of the oral stories about my family members in the past that I never knew before, even though it traces back to my own grandparents, which is not too far back. The abstraction form of the shapes reflects the uncertainty of these oral stories and how fragile their existence is. The fragmented audio is my attempt to recite the oral stories. I attempt to speak Malay as naturally as possible but spoke with a broken Malay and English which reflects the gradual loss of my mother tongue and family memories as well as my desperation to relearn my language and belonging.
